Infinite Pagination? Yes Please!?
Have you ever wanted to incorporate the infinite pagination of Facebook or Twitter into your website well here is one way to do so. It is a a little tougher then the beginner tutorial but it isn’t to hard to figure out. You just need to expand your mind with a little AJAX.

The real question becomes why would this type of pagination would be favorable to the traditional methods. One reason could be that it provides a feeling that the page goes on forever without actually doing so. This is how Facebook and Twitter function now. They are just grabbing older posts and display them, ideally, before you hit the bottom of the page. This sometimes doesn’t work very well because of the dance between content and bandwidth. This bandwidth issue can become a very annoying problem if it can take upwards to a minute or more to load the next section of the feed. Another problem with this infinite pagination can be the usage of mobile devices. The processors of these devices can be taxed by these scripting tricks.
Is this infinite pagination useful for certain style websites? Yes and it can look cool and now we can use it on or WordPress themes. So have fun adding it to yours.
